Project Connect offers professional development for kindergarten teachers and their administrators through a learning partnership between Erikson Institute and ISBE.
Project Connect is designed to promote equity. Effective teaching must start with understanding each child’s developmental, cultural, and linguistic strengths. We help teachers assess and address the "whole child."
As a result of their participation, kindergarten teachers will improve their ability to observe, document, and interpret children’s behavior and thinking using the Kindergarten Individual Development Survey (KIDS) as formative assessment.
The Early Learning and Teaching Academy is part of Erikson Institute, the nation’s premier graduate school in child development.
